Hi! I know this is kind of random, but can you explain what negative pressure is? Please? THANKS! (:
I don’t see why you have to be anon to ask this, but okay! Lemme give it a shot.
Assuming we’re talking about scenarios related to air flow, “negative” pressure can be defined as the event where the pressure within a region of space is less than some arbitrary standard you set as zero.
In other words, “negative” doesn’t really mean there’s some special kind of pressure inside an object—only that it’s less than some standard of pressure you decide to set as zero.
Say you’re in a submarine deep under water, and the of the water outside of your sub is strong enough to crush your hand. You decide to give that pressure a numerical value on some pressure gauge in the submarine, and decide to set (or calibrate) that value as “zero.” That means the pressure on the gauge would read zero, even though the pressure outside can literally crush your bones.
Now, say you take that same pressure gauge and use it to measure the pressure inside your submarine. Since the air pressure inside can’t actually crush your hands (or let alone hurt you), the reading will register as a negative number, simply because you set “zero” as the hand-crushing pressure.
That is negative pressure. Like I said before, it’s negative, but only because you set some other arbitrary value as zero.
UCLA won first place in cheer, won women’s track, and came in second place for men’s track. After years of competing only to be mediocre, it feels damn good to come out on top for once. Still though, I gotta keep humble.
It was an honor to choreograph the dance part of the cheer for KCM, and just flat out amazing to actually find out it was the deciding factor in our winning first place, and it felt damn good to race again in men’s track (especially passing up UCR’s anchor at the last second to win second place).
All in all though, this whole day is devoted to the big guy up there. All glory goes to Him, not us.
My efforts are exuded into stripping you. Stripping you of your fears, your arrogance, your pride. Baby, will you just let me get inside you? Let me be the one you’re able to confide to, because I want to be the one to provide you with all the things they couldn’t do… which is understanding. All you’ve been doing is withstanding. Every negative emotion, kept in. Suppressed. Let me undress, your facade. Unveil your front, and reveal yourself to me without the layers of your ego. Uncloathe the representation you’ve forced yourself to put on daily. Remove every single shi(r)t you’ve ever used as a decoration to your personality. Because personally, you don’t need to try and look “pretty” for me. Unzip your jeans(genes) so I can see the root of your every trait and characteristic. Be (real)istic with me. I want you bare, so I can be aware of everything in which you bear. I want the deceptions disposed. Baby, come to me exposed. I want to get to know you, the real you.
So baby, can you just take all your clothes off? Because I want to get to know you naked.
Rawness or real-ness is by far the most attractive thing a girl can have.
I’ve lost weight here at college. My parents said I looked noticeably skinnier when I came back a few weeks ago, and I feel I’ve only gotten skinnier since then. I’ve been relatively relaxed and have been eating alot, although it’s worth noting my daily life has gotten hella demanding/physical/exhausting with Samahang practices and swimming.
Anywho, it feels good to be burning off that baby fat again. :D
was hellafuggin’ dope, like holy shit. Even though the piece we learned was ridiculously fast, I had tons of fun learning it. But still, the entire piece was like “eight-ee-and-a,” so it’s gonna take some work to get down.
I’m so fuggin’ excited for this quarter’s set! :D
And Ant, you’re one beastly-ass choreographer and dancer—you really came through this time.
I’m really feeling the song, now—especially the intro. There’s so much feeling in the voice, which is what I think certain K-POP songs pull off really, really well. Take I Need a Girl by TaeYang, for example.
Reduced instrumentals + increased emphasis on the voice + mellow chords = chill and/or sexy song.
you will have school for the next few years, but sometimes feelings will wither away. you can always quit on a relationship (in case you lose balance) but know that dance and academia will always be there! carpe diem! or noctem! :)
That’s the thing: I’m gunning for that 4.0 GPA now that I’m not doing engineering, and I dunno if getting into a relationship is the smartest thing to do. Sure, it’d make me happy and stuff, but part of me tells me it’s better to wait just a little while longer.
Nahhh, I would’ve done club swim, but Samahang Modern practices were at the exact same time, so I figured I could just swim on my own, especially since the Olympic-sized pool at Sunset Rec is open for public use.
Still, despite the hectic chaos that is UCLA dorm life, I try my best to swim every day.
Hey, we were wondering if you'd be interested in submitting a picture of yourself to fyeahnaturalbeauty We're trying to start it up and we think you'd be perfect for it. (: and.. well, tbh, we think you're pretty cute ;) it'd also be nice if you followed us, but you dont have to :)
This is the second time you’ve asked me, anon. If the blog itself (and not some random anon who’s credibility is impossible to verify) asks me to submit a picture, then by all means I’ll find something to fit their request, but otherwise, I don’t really care for parading my looks on the internet.
