Who the hell teaches a fast-ass swag choreo, as the pre-audition piece?! Even the instructors admitted they had a hard time learning it, LOL. Holy shit, Samahang Modern is gonna be hardd if I can make it in. Let’s hope for the best! :]
This is by far the best week I’ve had in a loong time. It’s like 3:30am and I’m tired, so I’m gonna make this short.
Woke up, went to Math31A, met a really chill girl from SD. Haha, all we talked about was dancing and stuff. The professor seems really chill, and explained concepts really well. After the lecture, I chilled with Fileray out in the sunken garden while we waited for our Chem lecture, where I ended up seeing Andy and Josh. The professor seems chill, but has a not-care-about-each-person-individually attitude, haha. I don’t really know how else to explain that.
After that, I went to Covel with Marcos and Andy to grab lunch, then we all headed our separate ways. I chilled with Josh and Kyle in his dorm, then I went to go try out the swimming pool with Jessica and her friend. HOLY SHIT DUDE, 50M POOLS RAPE YOU. It was soo fun, yet soo much harder, haha. After that, I went with Josh, Jonathan, and Kyle to go watch the Quidditch pick-up games they had going on at Sunset Rec, which look HELLA fun btw, then headed back to Covel to eat dinner with a few of the guys from KCM. Once I finished eating, I met up with Sam to go to this bible study at a local church, which turned out hella fun. The pastor dude there makes some BOMBBB homemade pizzas, no joke.
After the Church thing, we headed back to our dorms then tried rounding up people for the dodgeball tournament @ bruinfest. We advanced like 2 rounds, then got raped by these tall-ass athletic white, black, and korean people. LOL its all good though, it was fun. I checked out Kevin’s bboy classes and the crazyass cypher they had going on. I swear, I didn’t know UCLA had so many good dancers, haha. Once we lost, we just headed back to our dorms, I got a quick snack at Bruincafe with Sam, then watched a movie with Sam, Alan, Thomas, and his gf (which I knocked out halfway through), and now here I am. Crazyyy day. Let’s keep this going, hehe.
Today was just fucking amazing. Woke up, went to the financial aid office to sort out some loan stuff, then explored around UCLA and bought my sweater while waiting for the Poli Sci discussion to begin. The professor is soo badass! He walked in looking like a literal cowboy, hahaha. Not to mention he’s energetic, so his lectures aren’t boring.
He cancelled discussions later on in the day, so I just headed to Rondezvous with Alan and Tina to grab food, then headed back to the dorms to wait for the KCM bonfire. HAHAH, me/alan/sam sounded like dumbasses trying to do a cover of I’ll Make a Man Out of You. We got a ride from a friendly guy named Josh to the bonfire, and ended up playing an epic ass game of tackle football—upperclassmen vs. lowerclassmen. We tied, yeee!
Afterwards, they had a prayer thing, and we just ended up socializing with all the Koreans there. I swear, I’ve never met so many new people in one sitting, haha. It was like a record for me. I thought I’d be the odd ball out with Alan since we were one of the only non-koreans there, but everyone was friendly and excited that we came. Good stuff, man. :D
After that, we headed back to UCLA and went to Rondezvous (again, I know, but the food there is orgasmic) and then chilled in Sam’s dorm for a bit. Good day today. :]
I really think I might join KCM, even if it’s a Korean club.
So, today was the last day where I would have a social life.
Why? Because classes start tomorrow, and today was one of the best days I’ve had in awhilee. And, to remember this, I wanted to write a little bit about it.
Woke up, did a track workout with Thomas, ate lunch @ Covel with a few buddies from the house, took a campus tour with the house, then hit the sports jamboree with Marcos and Tina. I swear, I have a tendency to sign up for way too many sports, lolol. I reallyy wanna try either Ultimate Frisbee or Quiddich, though.
I didn’t know Quidditch was an actual established sport! The Harry Potter kind, too, with snitches and broomsticks and everything. It’s hella epic by how they explained the rules. I’m f*cking signing up for the club team, haha.
Afterward, I hit the UCLA Bruin store with Tina, Sam, and Andy, then headed back for a semi-fail book in the house common hall for Zeitoun. We hardly even discussed the book, and went off on a tangent on the freshman college experience instead, haha. After that, I went with Alan and Sam to get orgasmic chinese food @ Rendezvous, then hit Powell to copy some papers (little did we know the library was actually closed), then went to the Courtside party thingy. Me&Sam played DDR a few rounds, then we went to the kareoke and did a 4-man kareoke cover, complete with improvised dancing, of I Want It That Way by the Backstreet Boys. LOL, the crowd got hella into it too. Frikken amazing, man.
Between the sports jamboree and the book discussion, I dropped by to visit Josh’s dorm, and they were frikken having a Starcraft II multiplayer party in there, LOL. Josh, Kyle, and Jonathan (yes @xcincindy, your Jonathan) were like duking it out against some random players. That was hella crazy.
After the courtside party, Sam, Josh, Alan, Thomas, his gf, and I met up with Sam’s brother to go to Target for the UCLA-student-store sale-bbq event. LOL, they were supposed to let UCLA students in at 10, but we got in before they closed it to the general public, and basically ended up so that we were the only ones in the store for a good 20-30 minutes, getting our dorm stuff. They gave out SOO MUCH FREE STUFF! I frikken got like 5 packets of gum and a crapload of skittles, haha. On the way out, They handed each of us this goodie bag backpack thing, filled with a bunch of random free target stuff. After that, we hit the BBQ, where they were giving out free soda, then went back into the store and just walked to the exit to get another backpack. Shady stuff mann, lolol. Alan decided to be greedy and went back in to get a 3rd one, HAHAH. It actually worked, too!
After that, we hit up McDonalds hoping to get chicken nuggets, but it was closed. And so, we walked to the drive-thru hoping that they’d let us take an order. I was like “oh, try jumping up and down since there’s a weight sensor and maybe they’ll notice.” And so we jumped, and the lady on the intercom came up and said “you know jumping’s not gonna work, right?” LOLOL failll. We pleaded with her, but they wouldn’t let us order, so we just headed back and found Sam’s brother and actually drove through to get our food. HAHAH, we were like “WE FOUND A CARR!” when we got to the window, and the lady just laughed. I swear, chicken nuggets never tasted so good. :3
After that, we drove back and just headed back to our dorms. Good day today.
I swear though, driving around with all the construction is a complete pain in the ass.
Painted lifeguard towers at santa monica beach, got yelled at by an anti-capitalist homo, helped my friend find her classes on campus, watched a movie and explored westwood, and formed a little “wolfpack.”
I swear, college makes you cuss alot. Idk if that’s just me, but I’ve been swearing alot more lately.
good shit today. ran & did stair sprints, worked out at the gym, hung out with new friends. travie mccoy is fucking BOMBB live. sadly, i didn’t go to the dance (although i wanted to), but had tons of fun hanging with a few friends. :]
Life, in itself, is my inspiration. The human race, the diversity. Animal hierarchy. There is so much that is already here, and it’s what drives me to try and take in whatever I find interesting and make use of it. My person is a craft of recycled thoughts. I’m not quite a mastermind of the arts,…
This is exactly what I lived for in high school. Now, I’m hoping to achieve the same accomplishment in college. If possible, even surpass it.
These past few days have been extremely reflective for me, seeing as I’m about to start a new life in college. Aside from graduating with high marks, securing a job, and becoming a better person, I have tons of “smaller” dreams and ambitions I want to accomplish within the next four years, and I feel like listing them for future reference. You’ll notice that I’m an all-over-the-place type of person, haha. You can say I’m the kind of person who absolutely loves learning new things, no matter how difficult or geeky or simple it is.
