a complete nerd and weirdo for saying this, but I’m having alot of fun studying for the apcalc test tomorrow. For some reason (which I have no idea how to explain) this year, math got really fun, even though I’m taking apcalc of all courses, haha.
Yeah, I like math. I’m a nerd/geek. Got a problem with that? :]
The day started of grrrrreat ;D Late Start day; Philip’s house then went to school early to fix the scrapbook with Pham, Ella, &Tiana 1st: The Unit Exam killed my mood >_> sorta, not really 2nd: Nous avons joue le jeu de loterie avec des mots au sujet de sante. 3rd: Turned in our awesome…
I officially give up studying for the apbio practice final tomorrow. 15+ hours of studying so far, and my brain’s about to explode. To all you freshmen/sophomores who plan on taking AP classes, NEVERR procrastinate on studying for the exams.
I’ve read 1984 and I’m reading a Brave New World right now. The more I think about it, the more I realize that these books are becoming/are already reality, especially the society in a Brave New World. If you’ve read the books, think about it. Hopefully you’ll see what I mean.
If you haven’t read those books and you’re actually interested in what I’m saying, I highly suggest you read them. Then think about everything around you. And think hard.
Grab my flats I’m out the door I’m gonna run some kily’s.
Before I run, better warm up, a lap around the track
Cause when the gun goes off, I ain’t holdin’ back.
LOL okay yeah, enough of that, I’m getting carried away. Just to clarify, flats are really light racing shoes and kily’s = kilometers, I just had to make it rhyme. x] Anywho, today was one hella eventful day; it started off with a pretty big bang. I woke up at 6:30 and went to stop by Angelo’s house to borrow his flats for the Anaheim 5K. I got them, then went to take Gino & Jessica with me to Anaheim High School for the actual 5K run (It’s 3.1 miles if you want perspective). Mann that run was intense, but quiick! I ended up getting 5th place overall (which HELLA surprised me) and beat my record time by almost a minute. No complaining there, hehe. I went to get McDonalds with Gino & Jess afterward, then dropped them off. From there, I chilled at home for a bit, then went to Cerritos Mall with Praisy & some of her KC board, which was chill & fun. Genghis Khan is frikken expensive! >:O manhailnaww. After that, I went to Clint’s to get everything settled for my Prom tuxedo, then headed back to Praisy’s for a swim/movie with some of her Kennedy friends. Man was that pool cold! I don’t think any of us stayed in there for more than 20 minutes, ahaha. The movie was sad but interesting (Seven Pounds), & then I left for home afterward. Aghh now it’s super no-life study mode for AP testing! >:[ not funn. Today was worth it, though, I’m not gonna lie.
It sucks not knowing what’s going through people’s minds. It’s like, I constantly question people’s motives and actions and always wonder WHY they did this or said that. If only getting answers was so easy. If only getting closure was that simple.
If you could do that, you’d lose all excitement in life, because you’d know the outcome to everything. You would know things you might not have wanted to know, or might never be able to understand, and that in itself could totally mess with your mind as you go on through life. We learn & grow more as people by trying to learn about others, see what they do, why they do it, and trying to see if we could get anything out of those experiences. The curiosity & insecurity gives us motivation to better ourselves, even if we never quite get anywhere in the end.
It started off pretty slow. I was still car-less, so I walked to school. Calc was chill, we had another sub & practically did nothing the whole period other than talk, arm wrestle, and get ahead on homework. Medical was pretty fun, we had to practice leaving mock voicemails for patients to schedule appointments and stuff. People got reallly creative with those medical conditions on the voicemails, LOL. We got into these hospital gowns and just messed around in the practice room & basically chilled for the rest of the period. Multimedia was fun, we switched classes with Nelson since we needed to use photoshop on the iMacs. I got Aaron’s computer, and as I was searching through iTunes, I found all of his craaazy techno & rave music. I just plugged in my earphones and listened as I messed around the computer. Macs are so fun to use!
After that was track practice, we just did 3 grasslaps to rest up for Thursday’s meet against Western. Little did I know, however, I wouldn’t be getting much rest at all. After practice, I ended up competing in the swim meet against Magnolia, which was completely unexpected, but it was HELLA fun, haha. It feels so good to be swimming again! After that, I headed over to Mrs. V’s room and chilled with PAYO people while we waited for our open house performance. We messed up a bit, but it’s all good, we had fun with it. x] After open house, I got my car back, and I went with David to Michael’s to go buy prom-asking related supplies, and then we went to Panda Express and chilled for a bit. I got home around 8:30-ish, and had to get started on bio. I finished around midnight, but then I had to get started on my little prom-asking project. Ohmydamn was I exhausted, haha. I stayed up till like 1:30am doing it, and knocked out afterward.
I woke up around 6:45, got ready, and drove to school. As far as classes go, they were chill. Nothing extraordinary happened, but I got HELLA sleepy. Lunch was our last general meeting as the ‘09-‘10 board for SHS Key Club. Omgahh so sadd! :[ I’mma save all the mushy stuff for banquet though. We formally handed off our positions to our successors, and that was that. After bio, I went home to finish up prom stuff, and came back for the track meet against Western. I got a personal record on both of my races, which surprised me since I got so little sleep. Varsity boys lost, but it’s all good. At least we won the 4x4. x] I finished my prom stuff at the track meet, and then headed over to Praisy’s house to actually ask her. SUCCESS! :D Now, all that’s left is paying for everything & matching our outfits. I went to get some McDonalds and drove home, and here I am now.
in AP Lit, we had a test on Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston. I thought the book was due Thursday (& the test on Thursday as well), so I didn’t read ANY of it, except maybe ten pages or so, out of around 200. I got 19/30 on the test, after pretty much guessing on EVERYTHING. What are the odds, ahaha.
is today like post-artistic-naked-pictures day? My news feed’s practically filled with them at some points. And it’s not just one person either.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not offended nor bothered by it (nor am I getting turned on or getting horny by looking at them); I respect the boldness that these people have for being open enough to post them though. Tumblr is a place of expression, after all.
almost 30 hours worth of homework since Thursday night, and I’m still a ways to go before all my spring break schoolwork is done & over with. Teachers really have decided to go all out this time around. ><
